Classic Cars: The Service

We are known as specialists in classic Rovers, usually the P4, P5 and P6 models, but we also cater attend to other classic cars. The cars that we have worked on recently range from a 1937 Austin 10 Cambridge through the decades to modern-day classics from the ‘90s. For the normal servicing and MOT work we keep detailed records and send out reminders, whether it be for servicing or joint servicing/MOT.

The types of work that we offer at Ely Service for the delight of the classic car enthusiast cover a wide range:

As well as looking after the happier side of classic motoring, we also take pity on those poor unfortunate souls whose pride and joy has met with an unfortunate occurrence. If you find yourself in such a situation, please contact us so that we lend a sympathetic ear to your misfortune, and hopefully over time enable you to see the silver lining to the current cloud. We enjoy good working relationships with insurers.

Servicing is done on an individual car basis: we do not offer a fixed-price service menu, but look at the usage of the vehicle since it was last in our presence. We then tailor the work accordingly. So, in that way we ensure that you - our customer - gets the best deal possible, in that you are not paying for work that is surplus to present requirements, or for parts that are not yet required.

We offer free courtesy cars and can arrange local collection and delivery. For those customers travelling a long distance, we are quite happy to provide a shuttle service to and from Ely railway station, for your convenience.

As we are on a business park with 24-hour site security, you can also leave the keys of your car at the security hut, outside our business hours. So if you need to drop your car off at weekends or in the evening, you can do so with confidence. Your keys (in a marked envelope) may be collected from security staff if you need to pick up your car outside our normal business hours.
